Launch Week Summary!

We had a lot of fun, and released a few videos and new social media platforms.

This has been an exciting week! We were finally able to share what we’ve been working on for all these months. The response has been more than favorable, and at times overwhelming. We have a lot of new subscribers and we expect more to come.

One of the biggest “launches” was our YouTube channel, and we posted a few videos. It will take time for subscribers to grow, but we have some ideas for what we can post there regardless of membership. In fact in this post, we’re going to share two free videos and one paid.

Another launch was for our Discord server. If you didn’t get the invite, here you go (note: this link only lasts a few days). We’ve already had high engagement there, and the Discord will be used for some of what we’ll be announcing later this month. We encourage you to hang out with us.

We had a blooper while recording a podcast on Japanese Films with Joe. Jill’s audio went on a freakish loop and ended up being a special moment. We want to remix this into a theme song. Maybe a new podcast intro? Hmm, who knows?

Our first podcast post-launch was with our good friend, Caitlin Kuhwald. That podcast is on the CineJourneys feed everywhere in audio form, but we had such a great working relationship with Caitlin that we recommend watching the unedited video. There are a couple minor moments that were edited for audio, but it’s a very visual episode and I think you’ll see how much we’ve enjoyed working together. You wouldn’t be surprised that sometimes while working on the art for this website, we talked about movies. We can’t help it! We love movies!
